Instructor Bio
Jason Erickson, BCTMB, CPT, CES, CAIST is AMTA Minnesota Chapter President and member of the AMTA Sports Massage Team. A former athlete sidelined with injuries, Jason's journey back to pain-free health inspired him to become a trainer, massage therapist, and educator.
Jason has earned certifications in personal training, massage therapy, Active Isolated Stretching, orthopedic massage, pre/post-natal massage, corrective exercise, Circular Strength Training, and other disciplines. He works with athletes at all levels, including elite athletes at Grandma's Marathon, the Twin Cities Marathon, the Half Marathon National Championships, and other events. Jason has also worked with Olympic and professional athletes competing in Nordic and cross country skiing, biathlon (ski & shoot), triathlon, football, martial arts, and other sports.
Jason has served as Sports Massage Director/Supervising Therapist at large athletic events since 2010. He co-owns and practices at Keep In Touch Massage of Eagan, MN and trains clients part-time at Burn Personal Training in Bloomington, MN. He can be reached at JasonEseminars@gmail.com

Sports Massage: Event Prep and Recovery Part 1 - Preparation (8 CE hrs)
Based on current research and years of helping athletes prepare for events, this fun, engaging class approaches the practice of sports massage from a new perspective. Pain science and sports psychology inform the use of assessment, treatment, and communication skills that may enhance the performance of the athletes you work with.

Sports Massage: Event Prep and Recovery Part 2 - Recovery (8 CE hrs)
Based on current research and years of helping athletes recover from competition, this fun, engaging class approaches the practice of sports massage from a new perspective. Pain science and sports psychology inform the use of assessment, treatment, and communication skills that may enhance the recovery of the athletes you work with.

Take both classes!
Event preparation and recovery are critical for athletes due to psychological and physiological stressors. Skillful sports massage informed by pain science and sports psychology can contribute to their (and your) success. All skills taught are immediately applicable in your regular massage practice so you can master them quickly. Experienced sports massage therapists enjoy these classes for the refreshing approach and skills that enhance what they already know and do.

Full Weekend May 21 & 22: Parts 1 & 2 (16 CE hrs total) $250
